Old School Minecraft has a variety of ranks.
Ranks operate within a hierarchical structure, which means that higher ranks encompass the privileges associated with lower ranks.

Generic Ranks

Player

The starting rank for all new players.

  • In-game: &8[Player]
  • Recreation: [Player]
  • Can set a maximum of 5 homes.

Contributor

The sole existing donor rank.

  • In-game: &b[Contributor]
  • Recreation: [Contributor]

Misc Ranks

Trusted

This distinction is awarded exclusively to community members who are recognized by staff for their noteworthy contributions or cool demeanor.

  • Inherits all Contributor perks.

Formerly given to good builders, most commonly ones who assisted staff in important builds.

Formerly given to developers of Old School Minecraft.

Supporters

Formerly given to donators. The rank had three tiers.

Supporter

Tier 1 for $8 USD.

Formerly given to partners of Old School Minecraft.

Fact: The Partner rank, along with the Trusted rank, was introduced shortly after Old School Minecraft officially launched to the public on January 19th, 2020. Initially, there were no prefixes; instead, ranks were denoted by colors assigned to players' usernames. For instance, the Partner rank would color your username in cyan, as demonstrated in this example: <Beezle> Hello world!
