It was during this time that Swetz faced significant criticism, although he seemed indifferent, having already distanced himself from the legacy community and moved on with his personal life activities. Shortly after those events unfolded, Swetz took to privately messaging me on Discord with a barrage of hateful messages. Most of it held little significance to me, considering he no longer owned the BetaLands brand nor held any managerial responsibilities. His role was solely that of an administrator, a status I had granted him due to his standing within the community. Therefore, he would have no authority in this matter as he no longer held status in the community. We no longer talk these days and have since forgotten about each other. | It was during this time that Swetz faced significant criticism, although he seemed indifferent, having already distanced himself from the legacy community and moved on with his personal life activities. A longstanding member of the Minecraft legacy community since December 23rd, 2018!
Join Date: December 27th, 2019
OSM and Wiki Position: Administrator
My primary responsibility involves maintaining order and enforcing rules among players to foster peace and balance within the entire community, whether in-game or within the Discord guild.
Another key responsibility is to manage the online forms for staff applications and punishment appeals submitted by members of our community, as well as maintaining their corresponding databases and structure.
I love to ban rule-breakers. 💥🔨
I can have anger issues when players decide not to follow the rules. Banning them makes it so much better. 😇

General
Name's Aleksandar, I'm from Bulgaria. Born on October 9th, 2001.
Education
In technical university, I am pursuing a specialization in 'Software and Internet Technologies'. Additionally, I hold a professional third-degree qualification from a vocational high school of electrical engineering in the field of 'Technician of Computer Systems'.

Interests
I enjoy a diverse range of music genres, spanning Metal, Nu-Metal, Alternative Metal, Power Metal, Rock, Rap, Hip-Hop, Phonk, Grunge, Electronic, and more. However, Metal and its sub-genres, in particular, are what I listen to the most. My playlists here!
My general clothing aesthetic could be described as y2k, punk-ish, alternative, and street-style. I also really enjoy wearing all kinds of silver jewelry.
My favorite colors, I would say, are black, white, dark green, dark purple, and dark blue. Although, I generally like all colors.
All of this is public information about me, most if it is also very personal.
Could this be interpreted as me doxing myself? Maybe. Could I care less? No.
'Mostly Full' Legacy Minecraft Backstory
My history within the Minecraft legacy community encapsulates the most significant milestones and experiences
The Beginning
On December 23rd, 2018, I embarked on my Minecraft journey on a server called BetaLands, overseen by its founder, Swetz. Presently, ownership has transitioned to JohnyMuffin, who also manages RetroMC.
BetaLands operated on the b1.7.3 version, reminiscent of Old School Minecraft, which had yet to be formally established at the time. At its peak, it was the second-largest server, often toe-to-toe, with RetroMC holding the top position as its main competitor.
Over time, it also underwent numerous changes, both minor and significant, spanning the period before, during, and after my tenure there.
BetaLands is no longer operational today. However, the detailed history of the server is meticulously preserved on RetroMC's wiki, our affiliated partner. You can read all about it here!
Nostalgia Town
Town History
I developed and established a quaint township named Nostalgia, characterized by its intimate scale and adorned with structures inspired by medieval architectural design. Indeed, the town in Old School Minecraft bears its name, continuing its legacy. The residence where I resided during my tenure on BetaLands has been faithfully recreated in Old School Minecraft, featuring subtle enhancements and refinements.
Town Features
The town also included a medium-sized wheat field solely for decorative purposes, a Nether hub portal, and two additional houses besides my own. One house was designated for a close friend, while the other accommodated an individual who will be anonymously referenced later in this autobiography. The town's standout feature in BetaLands was its warp location known as 'Food', strategically set up by myself. This area housed a zombie pigman spawner, designed to channel them through a canal where players could efficiently dispatch them for a steady supply of cooked porkchops. It also boasted additional spawner locations for various other mobs including sheep, skeletons, zombies, and more.
First Staff Debut
Interests and Experience
I formed connections with the limited staff roster present on BetaLands at the time. As my involvement and passion for the community deepened, so did my aspiration to join the staff team. Drawing from my prior experience in other gaming environments, I possessed a foundational understanding of the responsibilities and expectations associated with being a staff member.
Officially Staff
Eventually, my suitability for a staff position was endorsed by one of BetaLands' administrators, whom I'll anonymize as 'James' for confidentiality purposes. Selecting a gender-neutral pseudonym for discretion, I'll continue to refer to this individual in the third person throughout this narrative. Although there are individuals who are aware of this person's identity. James' mention in this autobiography is purely for documentation purposes, without any intention to cause disruption.
Putting aside other considerations, following James' recommendation of me to Swetz as their favored choice for a new staff member, I promptly took on the role of one of their committed moderators. Shortly after taking on my responsibilities as a staff member and overseeing multiple bans, Swetz acknowledged my capabilities and chose to elevate me to the role of one of BetaLands' head administrators.
- This promotion was announced during one of Swetz's live streams commemorating BetaLands' anniversary on YouTube.
Retention
During my tenure, I consistently upheld the status of being the most active staff member until the closure of BetaLands. However, there was a brief period towards the end of its operation under JohnyMuffin's ownership when I had to temporarily step back due to personal reasons related to my relationships, family matters, and the demands of university life.
Turbulent Transitions
New Management
As previously outlined, BetaLands experienced significant changes over time. At one juncture, Swetz relinquished involvement in the legacy community and transferred ownership of the server to LeeTaeJun, another normal figure within the legacy community.
Lee initially approached me and offered me the position of head of management within BetaLands during his tenure as owner. Subsequently, he elevated my role to that of co-owner of BetaLands.
Notice: Officially, the ownership timeline of BetaLands during its operational period consisted of Swetz, followed by LeeTaeJun, then Swetz again, and finally JohnyMuffin. It's worth noting that Lee's ownership of BetaLands was brief, spanning only a few months, which is relatively short in terms of ownership tenure. Hence, I refrained from emphasizing it earlier in this autobiography due to its brevity and limited significance in the broader context of the server's history.
Huge Changes
During my tenure as a co-owner of BetaLands, I took proactive steps to address pressing issues, such as rebalancing the admin shop to combat inflated prices and recalibrating the economy to ensure that even the most basic items were reasonably priced. I also orchestrated various engaging events to foster community spirit, recruited and mentored new staff members, several of whom later transitioned to RetroMC and made significant contributions to its staff team.
The Legacy Community
Establishment
The Legacy Community, abbreviated as TLC, was a Discord guild community I established shortly after LeeTaeJun sold the BetaLands domain back to Swetz, who subsequently transferred it to JohnyMuffin later down the line.
TLC served as a central gathering point for all things related to legacy Minecraft, akin to the Golden Age Minecraft. Its community grew to encompass approximately 600-700 members.
Demise
Swetz took drastic action in response to my promotion of it on the original BetaLands Discord guild. However, this guild had lost its significance as BetaLands was in a state of semi-official shutdown at the time anyway. I had granted Swetz administrative permissions on the TLC Discord guild, never anticipating such a deceitful act. Swetz proceeded to delete all channels, ban members of the guild, and strip away roles and other essential components typical of a Discord guild. As I reflected on the situation and made efforts to restore the TLC Discord guild to its former state, the severe damage had already taken its toll, causing many players to lose interest.
Broken Bonds
Poor Decisions
A Mistake
Following my departure from The Legacy Community's Discord guild, I chose to extend my support to emerging b1.7.3 Minecraft communities. Two options lay before me: the current server, Old School Minecraft, and OldHaven, managed by the aforementioned individual, James. Regrettably, this marked the pivotal moment where I erred in my decision-making by aligning with the wrong community. Opting for OldHaven as the server to endorse on TLC, I eventually assumed an administrative role there. James was also involved in significant controversy, marked by a multitude of discord and questionable management decisions and statements they've been known to make and have made.
Betrayal
Shortly after the public launch of OldHaven, James betrayed my trust by falsely informing players that I had made no contributions to the community. This assertion blatantly disregarded the fact that I had facilitated the recruitment of over 300 players into the Discord guild and fostered an active player base.
Reckoning
Given my influential position within the legacy community at the time, James' actions were met with widespread disapproval from many players. Consequently, OldHaven experienced a rapid decline and ceased to exist within a month. Numerous players departed from the Discord guild and discontinued playing on James' server. Moreover, a wave of criticism was directed at James, fueled by various grievances and concerns, compounded by revelations from James' own background.
Caution: I did not endorse any of the actions taken by the community against James. The reactions were solely rooted in James' backstory and accumulated animosity over time, compounded by the events surrounding this incident.
A Fresh Beginning and The End
Old School Minecraft
After permanently parting ways with OldHaven and allowing it to face its own fate, I decided to take a brief hiatus from all Minecraft-related activities.
Subsequently, upon reintegration into the legacy community, I resolved to reengage as a staff member. It was during this period that I recalled an earlier invitation extended by LeowFlow, also known as Leo, to join Old School Minecraft's staff team. This recollection prompted my official enlistment with Old School Minecraft on December 27th, 2019.
I was excited to discover that the offer from LeowFlow still stood, and both he and moderator_man appeared pleased to welcome me as their first staff member. Subsequently, I was appointed as an administrator across all areas of Old School Minecraft, including the in-game server and Discord guild.
Currently, I maintain my position as one of the head administrators of Old School Minecraft. While occasional periods of inactivity arise due to life commitments, I am dedicated to fulfilling my responsibilities whenever feasible. Notably, I have contributed significantly to Old School Minecraft by implementing various features, including the staff application form, punishments appeal form, and their respective databases housing essential information and rules. Additionally, I have introduced numerous other enhancements that enrich the overall experience, although I may not recall all of them at this moment.
Fact: Beezle is the first official administrator of Old School Minecraft, alongside owners LeowFlow and moderator_man. Unlike others, Beezle didn't start as a moderator and work their way up; they began as an administrator from the start.
RetroMC & BetaLands
Later on, I received an offer, motivated by both personal interest and recommendation, to moderate on RetroMC, our affiliated partner in the legacy community. The then staff administrator, Sasa, recommended me for the role, and I was approached by JohnyMuffin, the owner, with the offer. Additionally, EternalllZM, also known as sp00nd, who served as the operator second to JohnyMuffin at the time, expressed interest in having me as a potential staff member.
They assigned me to supervise as staff on both BetaLands and RetroMC. Since JohnyMuffin had reestablished BetaLands, he wanted me to maintain that place too, therefore I retained my administrator privileges there. On RetroMC, I began directly as a moderator instead of undergoing a trial period or starting off as a trial helper.
Unfortunately, as life's priorities shifted, I found myself increasingly occupied with university and other commitments. Upon discussion with the higher management staff at RetroMC/BetaLands, I made the decision to step down from my staff positions on both RetroMC and BetaLands. Nevertheless, the possibility remains open if I were to express interest and submit a staff application on RetroMC in the future.
Fact: Beezle didn't start as a trial helper and work their way up; they began as a moderator from the start, owning to their prior experience.
